Quiet and Cozy

just to clarify, it is very cold in arizona. people keep asking me if it's nice and warm here, but it's winter. i'm freezing! our winters aren't warmer, just shorter. by march, we should be busting out the shorts and light jackets again. it's amazing how quickly time flies. i had looked forward to 2007 for so long, and now it's nearly over! it has been wonderful though. my last semester in college was so much fun, which included spring break in mexico with good friends, and of course graduation. i hope everybody had a great christmas. i spent it here in tucson with my mom and brother. it was quiet and cozy with just the three of us and cody. we had steak, ham, mashed potatoes, mac 'n cheese, garlic bread, and poached pear with toasted pecan ice cream. it did feel very weird without my dad at the table. i really miss him. he called during dinner, so we got to talk for a bit. my mom's leaving in the beginning of january, and she won't be back anytime s

Saying Goodbye

i'm sitting in the middle of my bed. it's really comfortable, definitely a lot bigger than my twin mattress. my arms and legs are tired from unpacking, but before i sleep, i wanted to write a little something. around 8pm this evening, we finally pulled into the drive way and opened the door to an extremely excited cody. the ride from norcal was pretty smooth, save the first day when it was raining really hard. yesterday, we spent the night in diamond bar, because 15 hours of straight driving would be too tough on my brother, especially when my mom still has jetlag, and neither of them want me behind the wheel. that reminds me, i going to need to start driving again. yikes. anyway, most of my belongings are put away now, but a lot of my clothes and books are still scattered around the floor, because i don't have any bookshelves or even a dresser at the moment. right now, tucson isn't too different from the bay area in terms of weather. according to my desktop widget, it&
